Outside JENGA Set

Buy enough 2x4 boards to cut into forty-eight 10 1/2 inch pieces. You can cut the boards yourself or have them cut at your local lumber yard. Try to avoid wood that has large knots or holes in it. Next sand all the edges, so everything is smooth and can slide easily across each other.

Then paint the ends in five different colors: Grassy Meadow, Field Poppy, Safe Harbor, Panama Rose and Crumb Cookie.

This project is pretty inexpensive (especially if you substitute the wall paint for craft paints) and could make a really cute gift to a family or friend who loves outdoor games. It might not be gift season just yet... but it's never too soon to start planning. :)

How Do Whiten Yellow Pillows

HOT HOT HOT water

1 cup of laundry detergent
1 cup powdered dishwasher detergent
1 cup bleach (you could try “A Natural Bleach Alternative if you are opposed to chlorine bleach)

1/2 cup borax

Dissolve all detergents in HOT water before adding your pillows. This will help with the cleaning process.

How to Make a Salt and Honey Scrub

1/4 cup of honey
1/4 cup of salt (sea salt is best because of its mineral content)
1/4 cup of olive oil

Using a fork, mix the salt, oil, and honey together in a bowl or container.

Take a spoonful of the mixture and put it on your hands.

Rub evenly on your hands, then rinse with warm water.

Repeat the process on your feet.

Try to have a similar wash once monthly.

Tips You can also use glycerin from a local beauty supply store in place of olive oil.

If you don't have olive oil, you can substitute with baby oil instead.

My Hometown
You'll love Lufkin....I know I do. I've lived here all my life. It's not too big of a town but it's not too small either. Lufkin is full of history. The railroad, saw mills and loggers brought this one stop railroad stop between Houston and Dallas to life in 1882
